ABSTRACT

The midfacial degloving procedure provides excellent exposure while avoiding external facial scars and minimal functional impairment, making it a nearly ideal approach for the treatment of lesions in the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses. Chronic paranasal pansinusitis with nasal polyposis, especially that has occurred in younger or older patients, in case of recurrence and bilaterality have been a difficult problem to be solved by traditional surgical procedures. From December 1990 to February 1992, we have treated 13 cases of bilateral chronic paranasal pansinusitis and nasal polyposis. And so we report our experiences with a brief review of the literature.
