ABSTRACT

Cerebrospinal fluid rhinorrhea is a rare disease and has difficulties in diagnosis, localization and management. Traumatic causes are common and tend to increase with development of skull base surgery and motor vehicle accidents. Endoscopic treatment of CSF rhinorrhea which was introduced by Wigand & Stankiewicz in 1980s has advantage of enhanced illumination, angled and magnified views, and enables the operators to accurately diagnose the leakage site and repair it promptly. Recently we had experience of two cases of iatrogenic CSF rhinorrhea which were treated successfully with endoscopic approach using gelfoam, tissue glue and temporalis fascia. So, we present these cases with review of literature.
