A Case of the Cyst of the Vallecula Causing Hoarseness

ABSTRACT

A boy, aged 10, who had gradually developed hoarseness without dyspnea was found to have a small sized flat reddish mass in the vallecula by indirect laryngoscopy. The cyst that was contained 4cc yellow mucoid fluid was removed as complete as possible with external approach under general anesthesia. The postoperative course was satisfactory showing disappeared hoarseness.
