ABSTRACT

We experienced a case of primary tracheal carcinoma. A 46 year old male was entered the hospital with chief complaints of dyspnea, stridor and slight hoarseness for 4 months duration. Indirect laryngoscopy revealed a bean sized irregular dark reddish mass arisieg from the anterior wall of the trachea between the first and second tracheal ring. Tracheotomy was performed. Following the Co60 irradiation in a tumor dose of 6000r the mass disappeared completely. Follow-up study revealed that there is no evidence of recurrence for fifteen months after the irradiation.
