ABSTRACT

Since the description of Lange and Krueger (1932) about the toxicity of organic phosphorus compounds and the discovery of insecticidal components in the organic phosphorus compounds by Schrader (1952), who also confirmed these drugs act as anti-cholinesterase in the human body, many synthetic organic phosphorus compounds such as parathion, rivisite, smithion and E.P.N. and antimicrobial agent such as Bla-S developed recently. But at the same time, untoward side effects of these insecticidal drugs continously increased due to falty handling, suicidal ingestion and direct skin contact. Now, we report a rare case of sensorineural hearing impairment due to chronic intoxication of these insecticidal agents with the brief description of other articles.
