ABSTRACT

Recently, adequate treatment and neccessity of speech restoration in speech disorders are considered as a great part of the social problem. Especially the number of the speech disorders developed from hearing impairment occupied the large portion in this problem. Frequently, due to the delayment of early detection and treatment the chance of recovery in speech disorders was lost in the past. So the authors well introduce the whole procedure of the speech therapy through the detection method of physical examination, process of treatment, to the treatment and reviewing of the recording tape in the cases with obvious improvement. Now, the authors emphasized the neccessity of the speech therapy combining the review of the literatures. 1. Evaluation, Physical examination, Audiogram, Case history, Test for language development, Functioning of peripheral speech mechanism. 2. Auditory training, Hearing aid orientation, Awareness and discrimination of sound. 3. Lip-reading, Synthetic approach/Analytic approach - Mixed.
