ABSTRACT

Statistical analysis was performed for evaluation of influences on school activities in 82 cases of chronic maxillary sinusitis and 91 cases of control group in the same environmental conditions. School activites, including the ability of memory, resolution (the ability of understanding and practice), work and physical activities, showed tendency to decrease in the group of chronic maxillary sinusitis, especially the ability of physical activities. But the ability of work had little difference between two groups. Decreased school activities, in the group of chronic maxillary sinusitis, could be explalined that was rather the effects of fatigue and decreased power of concentration with subjective symptoms on emotional factors as in other illness than the specific influences of chronic maxillary sinusitis itself. And psychic factors to compensate the decreased school credits with chronic maxillary sinusitis couldn't be ignored.
