ABSTRACT

The neurilemmoma is a specific tumor of nerve origin, first described by Verocay in 1908 and termed neurinoma. Acoustic neurinoma from Schwann cell within auditory canal is frequently seen in the field of Otolaryngology. There are several reports of neurilemmoma originating from tongue, pharynx and larynx. However, neurilemmoma arising in the nasal cavity are extremely rare. Authors have recently experienced a case of neurilemmoma in the nasal cavity for which removal was performed and proven biopsy for neurilemmoma.
