ABSTRACT

Tuberculous infection of the Tonsil may be secondary to tuberculous lesion elsewhere in the body, especially the lung or rarely primary affection from tubercle bacilli. A 35 years old male carpenter visited to the department of E.N.T. because of sore throat and swallowing pain for 8 months. Physical examination revealed whitish ulceration of both palatine tonsils. He was diagnosed as secondary palatine tonsil tuberculosis and successfully treated by antituberculous therapy.
