A Case of Multiple Primary Malignant Tumor in the Larynx and the Stomach

ABSTRACT

A multiple primary malignant tumor was first reported in 1869 by Billroth, and then have passed from the stage of a pathologic curiosity to that of a well recognized entity. The clinician should be more aware of the possibity of multiple malignancies in the individual patient with tumors. Authors recently experienced a case of multiple primary malignant tumor occurred in the stomach (signet ring cell carcinoma) and the larynx (squamous cell carcinoma) in a patient who was admitted to our hospital under the impression of larynx carcinoma. Authors report this case with a brief review of literatures.
