Syphilis of the Palatine Tonsil-Report of Two Cases

ABSTRACT

After the discovery of the penicillin, the incidence of syphilis has become lower and lower. The incidence of all types of veneral disease is increasing, now. Syphilis of the palatine tonsil may rarely occur in the natural course of syphilis. The possibility of this condition must be always kept in mind in lesions of the mouth like this report. Recently authors have experienced two cases of syphilis of the palatine tonsil, which were treated with Benzathine Penicillin G only. So the cases were reported with a brief review of literature.
