Analysis of Clinical Aspects and Treatment Effect of Juvenile Laryngeal Papillomatosis

소아형 후두유두종의 임상 치료효과에 관한 고찰

ABSTRACT

The 36 patients with juvenile laryngeal papilloma were investigated clinically and the recurrence rate of those after treatment was compared by the treatment modality and lesion site. The results are as follows : 1) Papilloma was more prevalent in males (3.4 times). 2) The symptom onset was most frequently occurred in first decade (33.3%). 3) Papilloma was most predominently occurred at true vocal cord (39.8%). 4) By more than 6 months follow-up, recurrence rate was 12.5% in LASER surgery and 58.8% in conventional surgical removal.
