ABSTRACT

This article details a case history of 26 years old male patient who developed sudden deafness after playing volleyball. Explotympanotomy was performed on seventh day after onset and perilymph leaking was found in the anterior part of the annular ligament of oval window niche. Fibrinoid meshwork over the oval window niche was removed, and the perilymph fistula was closed by pieces of tragal perichondrium. Hearing was improved near normally except that of high frequency.
