ABSTRACT

This lesion which was first described by Johann Miculicz in 1888, may be present for a long time without giving rise to systemic manifestation. Discomfort, occasional pain xerostomia & enlargement of the salivary glands either untilaterally or bilaterally are the usual presenting symtoms. It is relatively a rare lesion with a benign couse & shows excellent prognosis by radiation therapy. Recently we experienced a case of Miculicz's disease arising from major salivary glands of 62 years old male patient who complain of dryness of oral cavity existing masses unilaterally in parotid & submaxillary area. So we report this case with review of the literatures.
