ABSTRACT

Giant cell tumors are uncommon, representing about 4% of all bone tumors. They usually occur in the epiphyses of long bones and rarely involve either the maxilla or the mandible. They are usually seen in patients over 20 years of age. If sufficient tissue is available, biopsy is most important for diagnosis. We experienced a case of giant cell tumor of the left maxilla in a 11 years old male patient who had treated by wide excision of the tumor via Caldwell-Luc approach with good result. So we report this case with review of the literature.
