ABSTRACT

A foreign body in airway is an unexpected accident which usually takes place in tender ages through momentary carelessness. In most cases, these foreign bodies are eliminated according to the suspected opinion obtained from the definite inhaled forein body history symptom and the simple chest X-ray. However, in case of an insufficient diagnosis acquired from the inhaled foreign body history, simple chest X-ray and the physician, these foreign bodies are apt to lodge in the bronchus for a long time which eventnally results in complications and patients wonder from department to department. The authors studied a case of 4 years old boy with a prolonged lodgement of vegetable bronchial foreign body and the results are hereby reported.
