A Case of Metastatic Papillary Adenocarcinoma in the Trachea - Case Report -

ABSTRACT

Papillary adenocarcinoma of the trachea is very rare and endotracheal metastasis from nonpulmonary malignancies is also very rare. This is a case report of the tracheal metastatic papillary adenocarcinoma from thyroid gland in 60 years old female patient which was treated surgically. The tumor mass was located in the tracheal lumen with based widely on the anterior wall of tracheal lumen. The tumor mass was removed out under splitting procedure of cricoid and trachea and T-tube insertion in the trachea. The tumor was confirmed to be metastatic papillary adenocarcinoma histopathologically, so the authors report with a brief literature review.
