ABSTRACT

Leiomyoma of the oral cavity is a very rare neoplasm because of the paucity of smooth muscle within the oral cavity. Our review of the literature has disclosed only 68 reported cases in the world. Authors recently experienced a case of leiomyoma occurred in the vallate papillae of the tongue in a 24-day-old infant and treatment with surgery.
