ABSTRACT

Pleomorphic adenoma is the most common tumor of the major salivary gland and is the most often found in the superficial lobe of the parotid gland and ralatively rare in deep lobe. Pleomorphic adenoma in the deep lobe of the parotid gland is hard to diagnose and manage, and has many difficulties in sparing the facial nerve during the operation. Recently, the authors have experienced 2 cases of the pleomorphic adenoma arising from the deep lobe of parotid gland, and report the cases with review of literatures.
