ABSTRACT |
Cefatrizine, a new orally-absorbed cephalosporin, was given to 60 cases with various infection in otolaryngologic fields ; 20 of ear group, 20 of acute pharyngolaryngitis group and 20 of tonsil group. The drug was administered orally 500-1500mg in 2 or 3 divided doses for five to fourteen days. Excellent to good clinical effects were observed in 53 cases out of 60 and the effectiveness-rate was 88.3%. No serious side effects were observed except slight diarrhea, nausea and vomiting in 4 cases.
