ABSTRACT

Foreign bodies in the body are commonly occurred by accident, and in most cases they can be removed without delay. But the possible presence of foreign body is often overlooked due to patient's ignorance or lack of physician's eagerness in examination. Foreign body in the pterygopalatine fossa is very unusual cases and also having rarely been reported in the literatures of otolaryngology. We had experienced three rare cases of foreign body lodged in the perithyroid area, post. wall of oropharynx and pterygopalatine fossa respectively.
