| ABSTRACT |

An expert system which supports the diagnosis of hearing loss was developed The final diagnosis encompassed 41 diseases with the problem of hearing loss. System was developed by rule-based artificial intelligence technology, data-based system and model-based system. The system can be used for the diagnosis of hearing impairment. Furthermore, the artificial intelligence technology obtained from this study may also be used in developing decision support system for diagnosis of the diseases which otorhinolaryngologists confront daily.
