ABSTRACT

Methods of allergic skin test which was used popularly was not standardized especially interpretation. For the standardization of the interpretation of the test with the image processing technique. Contrast of the original image with the surrounding skin was increased and the margin of the image obtained was smoothened with averaging technique. The margin of the image was extracted with contour following technique. Finally obtained image was identical with the original image. With this image area of the reaction was measured. This study will be a basis for the standardization of the interpretation of the allergic skin test.
