A Case of Multiple Foreign Bodies in the Ethmoid Sinus, Nasal Septum and Alar Portion by Air Gun

ABSTRACT

Foreign bodies in the paranasal sinus are not so common, but have been occasionally reported. The 27 year-old man was shot with a hunting gun. The bullets introduced in the right ala nasi and was located at sphenoid sinus, ethmoid sinus, nasal septum and ala nasi dispersely. X-ray study was done and the 37 pieces of bullet was removed surgically under the general and local anesthesia. After surgical removal, the patient was recovered completely without complication. We report a case of ""multiple foreign bodies in the sphenoid sinus, ethmoid sinus, nasal septum and ala nasi"" with a brief review of literature.
