A Case of Giant Cell Granuloma of the Maxilla

ABSTRACT

Giant cell granuloma presenting numerous, uniformly distributed gaint cells in a stroma of spindle cells appears in the jaw mostly but may also occurs in other region of the skull. Clinically, the intrabony lesion may be asymptomatic and discovered incidentally or it may produce a local deformity. And treatment is sufficient by curettage in most cases. Recently, we had experienced a rare case of central giant cell granuloma of maxillary and retrobulbar region, so we report this case with brief of the literature.
