ABSTRACT

The association between Hashimoto's disease and the development of thyroid neoplasms has been the subject of controversy and there are great differences in the reported incidence. Most malignant lesions of thyroid associated with Hashimoto's disease are papillary cancer and neoplasms of a lower grade of malignant disease. The prognosis is no differences in the survival of patients with or without associated Hashimoto's disease or better than that of patients with carcinoma of the thyroid gland without an associated inflammatory process. Recently, authors experienced a case of papillary cancer of thyroid gland associated with Hashimoto's disease. So we report this case with the review of literatures.

Keywords: Papillary carcinoma of thyroid glandHashimoto's disease.
