ABSTRACT

A 16 years old boy was admitted with the chief complaints of frequent attacks of epistaxis for 10 months and nasal obstruction for 2 months. Anterior and posterior rhinoscopies revealed purplish and dark reddish tumor mass in the right side of the nasopharynx and right nasal fossa. The biopsy confirmed as capillary hemangioma. On March 22, 1967, the tumor mass was removed surgically with transpalatal approach under general anesthesia. The tumor mass originated from the right supero-lateral wall of the nasopharynx. Postoperative course was uneventful and he discharged after 10 days hospitalization.
