ABSTRACT |
The 14 years old boy was shot with a hunting gun accidentally. The bullets entered in the left cheek and the patient bleeded considerably. X-ray study was done a few hours later and the immediate surgical removal was performed under the general anesthesia. Three spherical (diameter 6 mm) bullets were removed, one from the soft tissue of the left cheek, one from the posterior wall of the left maxillary sinus (This bullet penetrated the anterior wall of the antrum), and another from the mucous membrane of the lateral wall of the left inferior meatus (This bullet penetrated the anterior and the medial inferior wall of the antrum). The postoperative course was uneventful.
