ABSTRACT

Histiocytic tumors are mainly observed in the soft tissue of the body and in the skin. The fibrous histiocytoma is a soft tissue tumor of histiocytic origin, and it is a somewhat unusual tumor which has been reported in the larynx. For many fibrous histiocytomas the determination of malignancy or benignancy by histologic findings alone may be difficult or impossible. Final determination that the tumor is malignant must often be retrospective. Recently the authors experienced a case of fibrous histiocytoma of the larynx and so report with some review of literatures.
