Pollens are the largest group of the aeroallergens and most regionally influenced antigens. In Korea, there were no pollen calendar and only a few reports for pollinosis. The authors had observed the clinical feature of pollinosis with allergic rhinitis in 499 patients. The result were as follows, 1) The prevalence of pollinosis in allergic rhinitis was 7.6%. 2) The proportion of positive skin reactions with less than 3 Kinds of pollens was 76.3%. 3) Most common offending pollens were mugwort, birch, ragweed, alder, maize, beech, oak, fat hen, plantain and nettle. 4) The average value of total serum IgE level in allergic rhinitis with pollinosis was 232.3 IU/ml. 5) There was no seasonal variation of allergic symptoms in pollinosis.
