ABSTRACT

Authors recently experienced a case of so called primary tuberculosis of the nose. The patient was 35 year old woman with complaints of left nasal obstruction, crust formation and rhinorrhea for 2 years. Local finding revealed crusts-covered sessile tumor mass on the ant. portion of the left inferior turbinate, which was confirmed histopathologically as the tuberculosis of the nose; however, chest X-ray revealed negative and tubercle bacilli could not be approved by smear and culture with nasal discharge and sputum. It was completely healed with surgical and anti-Tb therapy after 5 months.
