A Case of Otogenic Extradural Abscess

ABSTRACT

Extradural abscess is one of the otogenic intracranial complication which usually occurs by destruction of body wall and then infection extends beyond the bony barrier of middle ear. It makes, at first, pachymeningitis externa as the disease reaches the dura. After that it forms by granulation on exposed dura and extradural collection of pus. Author has experienced a case of otogenic extradural abscess in a 12-year-old female.
