ABSTRACT

The bilateral branchial fistulae originating from 2nd branchial cleft on the lateral aspect of the neck are uncommon. The manifestations of this remnants of the embryologic branchial apparatus are sinuses, cysts, fistulae and cartilaginous remnants are recognized during infancy and young childhood. In contrast, cysts take more time to produce visible masses, and often are not diagnosed until later childhood. Recently the authors have experienced a case of bilateral branchial fistulae in a 19-years old male patient and so report with the result of surgical correction and some reviews of the literatures.
